So now I have a Cintiq (a graphics tablet with an LCD screen), and it's life-changing. I would sketch a character, scan it into my computer to make it larger, print it out, color it with colored pencils, cut the drawing out with tiny scissors, scan it back into Photoshop, and put it into my already scanned background painting. I used to do a lot of sketching and scanning. I always paint my backgrounds using acrylic paint. Q: What kinds of media and methods do you use in your illustrations?Ī: That's evolved over the years.
